Life next to 404

I'm just a guy living in Columbus, Ohio that's always thinking.

I have an awesome girlfriend and a super cool dog.

9 mins of Mass Effect 2 Gameplay

Mass Effect has probably been my favorite game to date on the 360, I can’t wait for 2. It looks like everything has been upgraded, graphics, dialogue, weapons, armor. Looks amazing, can’t wait to get my hands on it. If it’s anywhere as good as the first I have a feeling I’ll be locking myself in the house the first weekend it’s out.

Looks awesome, reminds me of a much more rich version of Myst, pretty interesting concept.

The myth of the page fold: evidence from user testing | cxpartners

I feel like this myth has been busted multiple times only to still have people come back and demand things go above “the fold”. To me “the fold” is becoming like IE6, time to stop letting everything come to a screeching halt because something happens to drop below this infamous imaginary line.

I’ve always liked this type of typography. This one in particular may be my favorite.

Windows Mobile 6.5 Review: There's No Excuse For This - Windows mobile 6.5 review - Gizmodo

Gizmodo tears up Windows Mobile 6.5, I feel like they were still too nice.

This is completely unacceptable. It’s painful when Apple has more or less shown companies how to innovate and create a beautiful and usable interfaces on a mobile device and companies still find a way to muck it up.

There’s very little about the interface here that makes me want to use it. It’s almost mind blowing how bad the UI is. I haven’t tested this, so I have no idea, it could be incredibly snappy and easy to use but just from looking at it I have serious doubts. What is Microsoft doing?

Hopefully Windows Mobile 7 will be a very large jump in the right direction, for Microsoft’s sake.
