Toobla Revisited

I posted earlier about Toobla being a hit in Columbus and mentioned that I had some small gripes about the design/UI stuff (but very excited for it otherwise). So I threw together a quick sketch of Toobla’s home page with some minor adjustments without getting too deep into it.

Toobla

Toobla is a startup company out of Columbus, Ohio. I’m not exactly sure the intention of their startup, but they certainly have an interesting app going on. I could see a lot of uses for it whether sharing with friends/colleages or basically using it as more of a social version of something like EverNote.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jake Saxbe (Founder) at Startup Weekend Columbus where we worked on a project together. It seems like Toobla has grown quite a bit since then. The designer in me has some gripes with the presentation and UI but I’m sure they’ll get it all sorted with time. Can’t wait to see where Toobla goes.

Setster - Appointment Software Plus Contact Widget

This is pretty incredible. Also love that it works with FreshBooks (personal fave), QuickBooks Online Plus & PayPal. Will definitely be playing with this soon.

My Top 5 Artists (Week Ending 2009-9-27)

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros

This is one of those bands I wasn’t sure about upon my first listen but after giving in and listening a little more they’ve really grown on me and have found myself listening to their Up From Below release jut about everyday the past 2 weeks.

Lose/Lose - The video game with real life consquences

Art or virus? I love games. I love beating games…however I think this is one I will never beat, possibly even never play. Even knowing that it will delete files I still have an urge to play.

Dan Black "Symphonies" Music Video | The Art of the Title Sequence

I love The Art Of The Title Sequence blog – there’s just something about a good title sequence. I was somewhat surprised to see this up there but it’s certainly awesome to see title sequences influencing different areas of entertainment.
